How and What we Make
From fabric to classroom, we design and iterate the blueprint for affordable and dignified school uniforms. It’s detailed and adaptable. Every layer is carefully crafted and fit to context. Our school uniform blueprint has four layers: sourcing, cutting, tailoring, and qualifying. And features durable, locally-made garments built to last.
Sourcing
We know quality fabric is the foundation of a uniform that lasts. We partner with trusted local mills and suppliers to source durable, breathable, and ethically produced textiles — cutting transport emissions and strengthening local supply chains in the process.
Every roll of fabric is inspected for weight, weave, and colorfastness before it enters production, so children get uniforms that hold up to daily wear, repeated washing, and active play.
Cutting
Precision cutting is where waste is won or lost. We use optimized pattern layouts and modern cutting tools to maximize fabric yield, reduce off-cuts, and keep costs per uniform low without compromising fit.
Standardized size sets — informed by measurements taken at partner schools — ensure every child receives a uniform that fits properly, from the youngest learners to graduating students.
Tailoring
Our uniforms are stitched by skilled local tailors using reinforced seams, sturdy buttons, and quality thread. Investing in local production creates dignified jobs and keeps value in the communities we serve.
Quality checks at each stage of assembly mean every uniform that leaves our workshop meets the same high standard — neat, comfortable, and built for years of school life.
Qualifying
Uniforms reach the families who need them most through a transparent application process. Parents apply directly by filling out a short form with their personal details, the school where their children study, and whether they are registered voters in Roysambu — our anchor community.
Each application is scored against criteria that reflect genuine need: household income, family size, single-parent status, and the type of work the parents do. The goal is simple — to make sure free uniforms go to parents who truly cannot afford them, while parents who are able to provide for their children continue to do so. Once an application qualifies, finished uniforms are delivered straight to the child at their school, no middlemen and no markups.

Our
operations
Design without execution is like a blueprint without a builder. We operate our blueprint so we can feed the future – our children and the school feeding programs that will support them.
We aren’t distant idea generators. We roll up our sleeves and do the work.
And we are experts in every layer of the blueprint from top to bottom. We optimize costs, improve operational efficiency, and maintain high overall quality – feeding what we learn back into the blueprint. Operational agility and cost-obsession has allowed us to lower our unit cost to average $0.30 per meal. A 25% reduction since 2018. And the most affordable, nutrient-dense school meal in Kenya.
We have a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Our customer success team ensures that parents are heard. And every issue can be traced and resolved appropriately.

We currently distribute school uniforms across Roysambu Constituency in Nairobi, with plans to expand into other constituencies over time.
